Suss accepts sub­mis­sions year-round through the sub­mis­sion form on this site. We are look­ing for poetry, fic­tion, cre­ative non­fic­tion, and any­thing that might fall some­where between those dis­tinc­tions. We will also con­sider book reviews, inter­views, and pieces related to the teach­ing of read­ing and/or writ­ing for our Learning Annex column.

We try our best to respond to sub­mis­sions within one month. Please limit your sub­mis­sions within a sin­gle genre to once every three months in order to help us with our response time goal.

We can­not pay our authors; con­trib­u­tors receive our grat­i­tude and as much pub­lic­ity as we can muster for their causes going for­ward. Also, should our paths ever cross, there’s the promise of a drink on us cou­pled with the most sin­cere high five you’ve ever been a part of.
