On November 16 and 17, 2009, Edwin C. Bearss, Head Historian Emeritus of the National Park Service, will speak (on Civil War raids in east­ern North Carolina) at the Duplin Winery (old­est and largest in the South), Rose Hill, NC, as a fundraiser for com­mem­o­ra­tion of The Confederate States Armory (Sword Factory) in Kenansville, NC. My col­lec­tion of Civil War Poetry will be launched then, too.
